Je suis la fille de parti!

I'm pretty tired, so this will be a quickie of an update (heh heh ... she said "quickie").

Hooked up with Princess Mombi this AM. Went to Saks, and we were knee deep in couture. I made a point to linger through the handbags (and drool over this Prada) prior to moseying up to the St. John and bridal department. She tried on a few decadently expensive wedding gowns, and wasn't smitten with any of them. 'Tis OK, as we and our $5,000 Reem Acras were no match for the girl in the next room and her $11,000 Vera Wang. Anywho, Mombi was then off to MAV's neck of the woods to try on a few more. We lunched at the new El Vaquero at Polaris, had afternoon libations, and dished a wee bit about TheBoy. She then got in The Car That's A Star and headed on down 71 to MAV-land. Where she bought THE DRESS. No details from me, of course ... you'll have to head over to her blog to see photos of someone else in it ... link in sidebar. I have seen photos of her in The Dress (it's a Reem. It deserves to be capitalized), and she is uber HOT. It is a stunning gown that suits her v. well. And she got a hella deal on it, so everyone wins.

I was then off to spend the afternoon and evening with a few friends (and made some new ones) at a program (it is NOT a pageant, it is a scholarship program) that I was the judges' chair for. Miata, Girlfriend, and Miss Ohio's Boyfriend were in full force with me. We had a great time, they picked a great winner, and it was a fun night. I'm pretty beat now, so it's off to drool over Jerry O'Connell and then take myself to bed.
